Olumuyiwa Ariyo is an Infectious Diseases Physician at the Federal Teaching Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Olumuyiwa Ariyo is an Infectious Diseases Physician at the Federal Teaching Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master in Infection and Immunity at the University of Chester, United Kingdom. He holds the membership diploma of the West African College of Physicians (WACP) faculty of Internal Medicine and other postgraduate diplomas and certificates in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He serves as the State Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator/Focal Point with the Ekiti State Ministry of Health and Human Services since 2020. He has an interest in the prevention, diagnosis, and care of viral hepatitis individuals. He has been part of advocacy and community outreaches focused on preventing viral hepatitis in Nigeria. His goal is to ensure that Nigeria meets the target of 2030 at eliminating viral hepatitis as a Public Health threat. He has been a promoter of hepatitis B vaccination among healthcare workers and other high-risk groups. One of his recent research projects explores the hepatitis B protective immunity among healthcare workers. He has publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
